Located on the ground floor of the historic Rockefeller Apartments opposite the Museum of Modern Art’s garden in Mid-Town Manhattan, this gallery’s interior provides an elegantly minimalist backdrop for Post-War American masterpieces while subtly referencing the early modernist forms of the landmark building in which it is housed. The unobtrusive detailing of the gallery spaces combine with the neutral palette of materials to create an aesthetic that is equal parts residential, institutional and commercial.
