Tribeca Duplex

The organizing design element for this duplex apartment is a strong diagonal slicing through

space on both levels. On the upper level, this diagonal wall leads from the entry to the loft-like

living room and dining area on one side of it while a guest bedroom and en suite

bathroom are sequestered on its other side. On the lower level, this diagonal and its

perpendicular complements carefully divide the recreation and home office spaces from the

master bedroom and bathrooms. A centrally located open metal stair with both diagonal and

orthogonal sections vertically connects the two floors.
