1866 Townhouse

This small West Village townhouse is a little bit of Old Amsterdam in New Amsterdam. Each floor stacks a single function: Living Room; Dining Room / Kitchen; Bedroom with Bathroom; rental apartment; and ground floor retail space. The circa 1866 house was built on an acute-angled corner lot for a window sash maker, hence its many double-hung windows that flood the house with natural light. While the staircase and window frames in the Living Room are original, everything else was reconstructed to create clean, open spaces.
